BforBusiness

Seller onboarding policy

Last updated May 2026

Selling on BforBusiness is invitation-light but verification-heavy. We'd rather have fewer, trusted sellers than a flood of unverified ones. The steps below typically complete within 2โ€“3 business days.

1. Eligibility

  • Active GSTIN and PAN, both in the legal entity's name.
  • Cancelled cheque or bank statement matching the GSTIN entity.
  • At least one warehouse in India with a valid pincode.
  • Authorised signatory with email and Indian mobile number.

2. KYC

  • PAN verification against the Income Tax NSDL service.
  • GSTIN verification with the GSTN portal.
  • Bank account verification via penny-drop (Razorpay).
  • Address proof of one warehouse (utility bill, rent agreement or property tax receipt).

3. Brand & product approvals

  • Manufacturers and authorised distributors can mark themselves as the brand owner; admin verifies before the green tick is shown.
  • New brands and new categories can be requested from inside the new-listing wizard. Admin review is usually within 1 business day.

4. Listings

  • Add one warehouse per pickup pincode with accurate stock.
  • Define at least one price slab per listing (MOQ + per-unit price).
  • Pick shipping: Shiprocket (default) or seller-managed.
  • For bulk catalogues, use Seller โ†’ Bulk upload with the supplied CSV template.

5. Going live

After KYC clears, listings are auto-published as soon as you save them. The first three orders go through an enhanced review โ€” please ensure prompt dispatch.

6. Ongoing requirements

  • Maintain seller rating above 4.0 (rolling 30-day window).
  • Dispatch on time on at least 95% of orders.
  • Respond to dispute messages within 48 hours.
  • Keep GSTIN and bank details current.
