Code of conduct
Last updated May 2026
BforBusiness exists because buyers and sellers trust each other through us. This Code lays out the behaviour we expect from everyone on the Platform and is enforceable in addition to our Terms.
What we expect from everyone
- Communicate respectfully — no harassment, hate speech or discrimination.
- Be honest in product descriptions, prices, GSTIN and reviews.
- Honour your commitments — orders accepted, prices quoted, SLAs promised.
- Do not use Bfor data, listings or APIs to scrape, resell or build a competing product.
Sellers must not
- Inflate prices artificially to manipulate the comparison engine.
- Counterfeit, mislabel or substitute brands.
- Cancel paid orders for reasons other than genuine stock-out or buyer fraud.
- Solicit buyers off-platform to avoid commission.
- Use synthetic reviews or rating boosts.
Buyers must not
- Submit fraudulent payment information or chargebacks.
- Use the marketplace for personal (non-business) consumption.
- Misuse the quote / dispute system to extract discounts.
- Resell purchased goods as a retailer if the listing prohibits it.
Reporting violations
Email trust@bforbusiness.in or use the “Report” button on a listing, seller or order. We aim to acknowledge reports within 1 business day and investigate within 5.
Consequences
Depending on severity and history, consequences include a written warning, temporary listing suspension, payout hold, account deactivation, forfeiture of pending payouts and — for criminal conduct — referral to law enforcement.
